Coastal Temperate Rainforests Symposium aims to educate, share, plan

The Alaska Coastal Rainforest Center is hosting a symposium April 17-19 in Juneau.

The symposium will be a multi-day event including a field trip to Berners Bay, keynote speakers, and international plenary and concurrent sessions discussing the following themes: interacting systems, ecosystem services, cross border conservation, adaptation and mitigation, public policy and education. Buckwheat Classic registration opens

Registration is now open for the 31st annual Buckwheat Ski Classic. The cross-country ski race will be held on March 25 on the Log Cabin Ski Trails north of Skagway and include 50K, 25K and 10K classic races as well as a 5K kids race.
