Six steps to successful fly fishing

The public is invited to join Trout Unlimited and local fly fishers for a six-station quick and easy look at the fundamentals of fly fishing between 7 and 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 at the Tlingit and Haida hall, 3235 Hospital Drive.

Participants will spend 10 minutes at each station to gain an understanding of fly fishing tackle, knots, casting, local opportunities, fly tying and resources. All equipment and materials will be provided free for this hands-on event.

Attendees can learn the basics and meet the fly fishers who can guide them further in becoming a fly fisher.
