Get powered up at NRA High Power Rifle Match

The public is invited to a NRA High Power Rifle match from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, at the Hank Harmon Rifle Range.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., first shots at 9:30 a.m.

This event has three separate divisions: NRA, High Power Rifle, Sporting Rifle and F-Class Rifle.

Cost to participate ranges from $5 to $25. First-time competitors shoot for free.

Need to hurry

Obama wants to revive the so-called assault weapons ban according the Associated Press today. That ban would apply to most of the rifles that will be used in this event, including any WWII era Garands and carbines.
