For anyone interested in the science, or maybe just the beauty, of the aurora borealis, an upcoming talk at the Marie Drake Planetarium might be just the ticket.
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, volunteers will present “Science and Art of the Northern Lights” at the local planetarium.
Attendees will learn how the northern (and southern lights) are generated, both on earth and on other planets. There will also be visual and musical portraits of the borealis presented. Following the main presentation will be the “Stars Tonight” on the Spitz projector.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information call 500-294.
