Cycle Alaska hosting free bike clinics this winter

Winter may be heading into town, but that doesn’t mean bike enthusiasts have to hang up their helmets quite yet. The public is invited to attend weekly free bike clinics hosted by the crew at Cycle Alaska beginning at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Oct 6.

This week’s topic is on “Winterizing and Commuting.” On Saturday, Oct. 13, there will be a talk on indoor trainers and the talk for Saturday, Oct. 20, is on “Safety Checks.” The final Saturday in October is titled “Cleaning your Bike.”

These clinics are free and open to the public. Each is held at Cycle Alaska, the red building located near the base of the Douglas Bridge. For a full listing of all the Saturday clinics, go online to
