Celebrate geography at 2nd annual Geofest

“Declare your Interdependence” at this year’s annual Geofest from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center.

This family-friendly event features hands-on educational and fun activities presented by the University of Alaska Geography Program. Participants will have a chance to win prizes while celebrating Geography Awareness Week.

Other participating organizations include the University of Alaska Southeast, University of Alaska Fairbanks and National Geographic. The event is funded in part by a grant from the National Geographic Society Education Foundation.
