"Wildlife Wednesday" to feature Kerry Howard

The Alaska Wildlife Alliance’s February “Wildlife Wednesday” will feature “Peregrinations in Nature Around Juneau” presented by photographer Kerry Howard.

Howard completed her undergraduate work in environmental biology at the University of Colorado, graduating cum laude in 1976. Her graduate work was done at Oregon State University, where she graduated with an M.S. in Forest Ecology and a minor in statistics in 1978. Kerry also completed a second Master’s Degree in Public Administration of Natural Resource Management in 199 at the University of Alaska Southeast.

She has enjoyed rich and diverse employment in natural resources management, finally retiring from the State after serving as the director of the Habitat Division, both at the ADF&G and at DNR. These days, she enjoys spending time in nature with her camera, regularly submitting her work to the Juneau Empire’s Wild Shots and Art and Unusual Places features.

This “Wildlife Wednesday” will take place at 7 p.m. on Feb. 20, in the UAS Glacier View Room (Egan 221), right above the Egan Lecture Hall and just down the hall from the Egan Library.

“Wildlife Wednesdays” are free, and the public is most welcome to attend! Complimentary Heritage Coffee and homemade sweets will be provided.
