Get the family outdoors to learn firearm safety, marksmanship, fly fishing and tying

Local families are invited to participate in the next meeting of the 4-H Outdoor Skills Family Club titled “Fly Fishing Basics.”

Participants will learn how to tie flies, make lures and the basics of fly fishing. The club will meet on this topic from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2 and 16 at the Gruening Park Recreation Center.

Participants also have an opportunity to learn firearm safety and practice shooting skills from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at the Alaska Department of Fish & Game Indoor Shooting Facility.
