Old Black Bear lift chairs for sale

In an effort to raise funds for the Eaglecrest Foundation, the local nonprofit is selling the original center-pole chairs from the Black Bear Chairlift at Eaglecrest Ski Area.

The sale was announced in the ski area’s monthly newsletter this week. According to the newsletter, the chairs are going for $100 each and all proceeds go directly to the nonprofit, which aims at providing youth with the opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard. Purchasers have the option to earmark their contribution for specific programs, such as the Books2Boards, which provides approximately 100 selected Juneau middle school students with free skiing or riding opportunities on non-school days and a weekly after-school mentorship program during the winter season.

The Eaglecrest Foundation is a recognized 501(c)3 organization and all contributions made to the Black Bear Chair fundraiser are tax deductible.

To make a purchase, contact Julie at julie.jackson@skijuneau.com or at 790-2000, ext. 227.
