Registration for the 4-H Sustainable Harvest Camp, happening August 12-15, is now open, according to a release from the 4-H Cooperative Extension Office.
In its third year, the camp is catered toward youth ages 11-18 and will be happening at the Eagle River Scout Camp facility. In all, the camp runs for three nights and four days.
As with past years, camp organizers are looking for campers who are willing to share their own harvest and leadership skills and experiences during the camp, with the hope some of them may develop into future 4-H Camp Counselors and to take a major role in shaping and delivering the camp in future years. All experience levels are encouraged to attend.
Cost to attend the camp is $150 and scholarships are available.
Attendees will need to fill out a 4-H Member forms that will need to be filled out. All paperwork can be dropped at 1108 F. Street at The Bill Ray Center. The scholarship information can be found online at http://www.juneau.org/parkrec/scholarship.php.
The camp is limited to 32 campers this year, so don’t wait to sign up.
