Juneau Explorers camp offers youth a week of activities, field trips and fun

Youth ages 8-11 are invited to explore 5,000 years of Juneau history with the City Museum’s Juneau Explorers program from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Aug. 12 and running through Friday, Aug. 16.

Participants will learn about glaciers and the geology of Juneau, study twining methods in fish traps, Tlingit body armor and Ravenstail weavings, they’ll pan for gold all while learning about the people who have come from all over the world to make Juneau their home.

Registration is available for individual days or the entire week. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
