Hudson to speak at garden club event

The public is invited to hear John Hudson speak about using native plants to restore fish and wildlife habitat at the next Juneau Garden Club meeting happening from 2-3 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 2 in the Mendenhall Library.

Hudson will talk about ways to use vegetation to restore habitat that was damaged due to a variety of reasons. He and a team of SAGA members restored a portion of a bank on the Mendenhall River this summer. His presentation will be followed by a question and answer period. Refreshments will be provided and all local gardeners are encouraged to attend.
