Community ski race to be held at Eagle Beach

The public is invited to celebrate Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 20 with a Nordic Ski Race at Eagle Beach campground, which kicks off at noon.

The race will be both classic and skate technique — it’s up to participants on which they choose. Distances are to be determined.

A post-race party will be held for those wanting to stay afterward; bring a snack to share.

This race replaces the head lamp race originally scheduled for the same day at the Mendenhall Campground trails.

No pre-registration is required. All ages, levels and ski enthusiasts are welcome to participate. Donations accepted to support the 4-H Nordic Devo Team.

For more information call Tristan at 723-1772.
