Fundraise for cancer research with Hope of the Slopes event

The American Cancer Society will host the Hope on the Slopes event at Eaglecrest Ski Area on April 5. From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., participants will make laps around the ski area while being tracked using a RFID tracking system. A closing ceremony will take place afterward for awards, including prizes for the top individual fundraisers, and special guest speakers.

Participants can sign up as an individual for $30 or as a team of up to 15 people for $150. Pre-registration is available at www.skijuneau.com/hopeontheslopes.php. Registration will also be available the day of the event from 8-9 a.m. in the Great Room of the Eaglecrest Day Lodge.

Hope on the Slopes, Ski & Ride for a Cure is a fundraising event for skiers and boarders, held at ski areas around the country. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society, and support their mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem through prevention, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
