Spring Jamboree offers up free food, games, ropes course

SAGA is offering free food, carnival games, guided naturalist hikes and low ropes course activities at the Eagle Valley Center for its third annual spring jamboree from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, March 29.

“The Eagle Valley Center is a community space that we want to share with all of Juneau,” said Beverly Schoonover, Executive Director of SAGA, in a press release. “Each year we invite families out to the Jamboree to experience what our lodge, and the surrounding Amalga Meadows, has to offer for recreation, fun and access to a wonderful natural area.”

The lodge and recreational center is located at 24600 Amalga Harbor Road. SAGA encourages visitors to park their vehicles at Amalga Harbor and ride the free shuttle bus into the lodge. All ages are welcome and all events are free. For more information about the EVC Jamboree, please call SAGA at 789-6172 or email EVC Manager Nate Heck at evcpro@servealaska.org.
