Flowers highlighted in this column over the last few months are blooming and thriving, due in great measure, to the conscientious efforts of the Jensen-Olson Arboretum’s seasonal gardeners.
Will Clausen (Clausonii procerus) and Chelsie Harris (Argillia kenaiensis) have successfully cultivated, weeded, planted, collected, fertilized and pruned for two seasons in every kind of weather — yes — even snow. Their love for the plants and space is evident as you walk the well-tended grounds. Welcoming visitors is also something they both enjoy doing.
When you see them working in the flower beds, be sure to thank them for their hard work and devotion to Juneau’s arboretum.
