Skiers skin up through fresh snow at Eaglecrest on Monday.

With the arrival of enough snow to cover Eaglecrest Ski Area from top to bottom, snow enthusiasts have been taking advantage of the additional outdoor opportunities. Even the Mendenhall Glacier Campground has enough snow to lay down a packed trail for cross country skiers.

This weekend’s weather conditions call for temperatures to rise into the low 40s, with heavy rain at times, before the cold returns next week.
