Photo Contest: Rain

Rain, rain, rain — it just won’t go away. Might as well enjoy it.

Here in Southeast Alaska, it’s a way of life. In Juneau, we embrace it year-round while tourists try to avoid it during the summer months.

With the rainy season upon us, we want to illustrate the Outdoors section with your best photos of our favorite type of precipitation. Get out there, get creative and get wet.

Submit your best photos to editor@juneauempire.com by 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. We will choose our favorite and give the winner a $5 gift certificate to the Rookery Cafe. We will also feature the photos in a slideshow at juneauempire.com.
