Dear Valued Online Reader,
As of June 30th, 2005, JuneauEmpire.com is requiring users to register with us to access most of the content on our site.
This is a major step forward for us and for you, as it will help us improve our site to better suit your needs and so we can better serve our advertisers, thus keeping access to our content free.
It is a simple process that will take only a couple of minutes. We are only asking for a few pieces of personal information.
Why are we requiring registration?
Online promotional advertising and sponsorships supports the JuneauEmpire.com and for us to be able to continue offering our content for free, it is important that we know more about the people using our site. With this information, we can learn more about what our users want to see and how they use our site. We can then utilize our resources to provide you with better and more useful content. And we'll also be able to let our advertisers know more precisely who is viewing their messages and they can tailor their offerings to be more relevant to you.
Here's how it works.
Anyone will still be able to view the JuneauEmpire.com home page and read the headlines on the section fronts, such as Local News, Sports, State News, or Classifieds as well as our sites; AlaskaLegislature.com, JuneauAlaska.com, JuneauBrides.com, SoutheastAlaskaHomes.com, Net Marketplace and JuneauWorks.com
To read any of the articles or to access any of the archived or special content, users will be asked to register. Once you register, as long as your computer settings are correct and stay the same, you will not need to register or log in again.
If you have any questions or would like more information about registration, please visit our FAQ (frequently asked questions) page. You may also contact me at webmaster@juneauempire.com.
