Good morning Juneau! Have a wolf-free day. Remember to run loudly and carry a big stick, or a long lens camera. It is wet and drizzling out so walk, run and drive carefully. Klas Stolpe Juneau Empire

Good Morning Juneau! Federal Building, Panel "Silver Salmon," Red cedar, Tlingit, Juneau, c 1966, Artist: Amos Wallace. - The Silver (Coho) Salmon. This panel was carved by the Tlingit artist Amos Wallace. It depicts the silver (coho) salmon at the entrance of Lituya Bay which is located just south of Yakutat, Alaska, facing the ocean. The coho, shown in spawning color, is surrounded by a ring of whirlpools and tide rips. The figure at the bottom represents a prominent rock which, with the whirlpools and tide rips, marks the entrance to Lituya Bay. Directly above the coho and rips is the small figure of the coho spirit (facing down). This spirit is left behind by the coho predecessors and the new coho salmon swimming away from their place of birth to draw them back home when it is time to return. The spirit guides them safely to their traditional spawning grounds. The spawning grounds are shown at the top, beyond the figure of a river waterfall through which the coho must pass.

Good Morning Juneau! So this is interesting... check out the date. Does this day count as one I have lived in the state? I thought I was avoiding hassles by bringing my PFD physical copy to a real live person... I had better check my receipt date. And something is growing in the pen holder.
