Gallo had just finished a stay at the Juneau Alliance for Mental Health Inc. halfway house and was spending his first night at the shelter. Gallo said JAMHI was arranging for an apartment for him on April 1. "Tomorrow will be my 90th day clean and sober for the first time in many years," Gallo said. "I made the decision not to quit but to stop. That's the difference between one type of person and another. When you stop, you stop." Gallo said he would like to use his experience to help others dealing with drug and alcohol addictions.
