LOCALJuneau Empire Volunteer Sue Baxter talks Wednesday with ten-year-old Jade Kalk, a fifth-grader at Harborview Elementary School, about walking safely to school. The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, the coalition group No Child Left Inside, and volunteers participated in the event at Harborview and Floyd Dryden Middle School. Schools in 42 countries and over 4 million students worldwide are participating in International Walk to School Day.
