Thunder Mountain picked up its first softball win Thursday with a 4-1 victory over North Pole behind a complete-game shutout from Anna Bullock.
Bullock gave up just one run on two hits while striking out 11 and walking none. She also had an RBI double to help her cause.
Jacki Mallinger drew a walk in the first inning and then stole second and third before scoring on a wild pitch. Joelle Mesdag scored the go-ahead run in the second after drawing a walk, stealing and then scoring on a sacrifice bunt by Jeslie Villaverde.
The Falcons (1-0) host Sitka at 5 p.m. today, and then play Ketchikan at 7 p.m. in a Southeast Conference tilt.
