The Juneau-Douglas boys’ soccer team celebrates its 1-0 win over South Anchorage in the title game of the ASAA/First National Bank Alaska 2011 State Soccer Championships in Anchorage. The Crimson Bears won their second straight state championship at Dimond High School on Saturday evening.

The Bears were recognized for their work in the classroom as they took home the GPA award for the tournament after posting the best grades of any team at state. Juneau-Douglas sported a 3.48 overall GPA for the school year. The Juneau-Douglas girls’ soccer team also won the award on the girls’ side with an impressive 3.77 GPA.
