Juneau Soccer Club 3-on-3 World Cup results

Uruguay defeated Spain 2-1 in the Developmental Division (under age 8 and 9) of Sunday’s Juneau Soccer Club 3v3 World Cup Tournament at the Dimond Park Field House.


The Uruguay four were Wallace Adams, Samuel Holst, Matthew Johns and Florian Wade; Spain teammates were Tias Carney, Ella Goldstein, Bradley Haynes and Reed Loree.

Denmark stopped Mexico 1-0 to win the Pre-Competitive Division (U10/U11). The Danes were Taylor Bentley, Sage Cavendish, McKie Gregory and Jaden White. Mexico featured Aaron Blust, Kellen Dumaop, Eva Goering and Trevor Guesno.

In the Juniors Division (U12/U13), Costa Rica overwhelmed France 3-2 for the title. The “coast” kickers were Michaela Bentley, will Hoover, Michael White and Finn Yerkes. France responded with the talents of Eli Gregory, Karina Ireno, Jonah Penrose and Brendan Renkes.

The Seniors Division (U14/U15) championship saw Scotland stopping Turkey 3-2 in penalty kicks. The Scots brought Ronan Davies, Hayley Germeau, Nicholas Heidersdorf and Amber White to the pitch. The Turks responded with James Cheng, Gabriella Hebert, Maddie McKeown and Kelson Rounds-McPherson.

The JSC Spring 3v3 is in the works and is open to any players, not just soccer club, in any age groups. Interested parties can contact director of coaching Matt Dusenberry, board chair Roger Healy, or tournament director Carl Ferlauto through the Juneau Soccer Club.
