The Juneau Douglas Ice Association’s Mite hockey players skate around a goalie’s net to warm up for a quick scrimmage between periods of the Juneau-Douglas High School Crimson Bears game against North Pole recently. The youth skaters are special attractions at many of the home high school games and have a busy and active competitive schedule as well as learning sportsmanship and teamwork.

Terrific Photograph

Nice image and wonderful to see the little skaters working hard. I love seeing the good local photographs of local athletes in action in the sports pages. More of this everyday would be a welcome treat.
