Members of the Tornados Wrestling Club demonstrated wrestling techniques during Friday's Alaska Beat Down event at Centennial Hall. With coaches Josh Houston and Chad Requa are, left to right, Nate Houston, state champion Jahrese Mays, Cody Requa and Ben NG. The Tornados are looking for youth wrestlers age 5-18 to join their ranks and rebuild the club. Pre-registration is Jan. 5 and registration is Jan. 7, both at the Nugget Mall. The first practice is Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Gymnastics Academy. Fans who wish to support the club or wrestlers who wish to join, should contact coaches Houston, Requa or Gerry Carrillo.
