2nd Annual High Gravity Games, 2-6 p.m., Eaglecrest Ski Area.

By popular demand, Eaglecrest and the Alaskan Brewery are joining together to bring you the 2nd Annual High Gravity Games. The fun takes place on Sunday, March 11 at Eaglecrest, and includes a keg toss, downhill-dummy race, an Alaskan beer garden, and a special Alaskan apres ski menu at the Eaglecrest Grill. Proceeds of the days activities will go to the Red Cross of Southeast. To register your team and for more information visit skijuneau.com.

“The High Gravity Games were a blast last year and Eaglecrest was the perfect place to celebrate,” Alaskan Brewing event organizer Nancy Woizeschke said. “They are set up for people of all skill levels to participate, and we have had some fantastically creative costumes and entries. It was a great fundraising event and too much fun not to do again this year.”

The High Gravity Games also include the Start-Up Cup - a four-leg, five-person relay where participants ski, snowboard, snowshoe and sled their way to the finish.

The Alaskan Brewing Co. and Eaglecrest organized last year’s event to help celebrate Alaskan’s 25th Anniversary and raise funds for the Brewery’s selected nonprofit organization. The overwhelming success encouraged event organizers to bring back the games for another year. Registration details and event information are posted at www.skijuneau.com and available at the Alaskan Brewery in Lemon Creek or at the Depot downtown.
