ROOT SPORTS will show Anna Graceman’s singing of the national anthem in its entirety today during the Seattle Mariners home opener against the Oakland Athletics, according to ROOT SPORTS media representative Leslie Cox.
Seattle Mariners public relations had mentioned that ROOT SPORTS could cut away for commercials during the singing and the Mariners would continue to steam the anthem on their website. That option is still available, but ROOT SPORTS will also be showing the pregame activities in their entirety, especially Anna Graceman singing the national anthem.
“We actually do show the national anthem singers in all of our broadcasts,” Cox said. “That was just a little miscommunication between ourselves and the Mariners, but we always have and always do show the national anthem in the pregame ceremonies live.”
The Seattle Mariners opening game ceremonies begin at 5:30 Alaska time (6:30 PDT). They will now be shown on ROOT SPORTS live and the Seattle Mariners web site live-stream at www.Mariners.com.
