The Juneau-Douglas High School Crimson Bears and Thunder Mountain High School Falcons cheer and football teams are working the same side of the field as they join forces to “Tackle” hunger in Juneau. The two teams are asking for the community’s help in reaching a goal of 2012 cans for food to kick-off the 2012 Football/Cheer season.

Fans are asked to bring canned goods to the Juneau-Douglas and Thunder Mountain opening season football game on Saturday August 11 at Falcons Field. The varsity game is 7 p.m. and the junior varsity squads play at 4 p.m. All food will be donated to the local Food Bank.

The football and cheer teams have been hard at practice to bring a spirited game for the viewing pleasure of Crimson Bears’ and Falcons’ fans and supporters.
