Nunaka Valley makes World Series semifinal

Anchorage’s Nunaka Valley Little League Junior Softball All Stars will play today against Kirkland, Washington in the Junior League Softball World Series Semi-Final game 1. Canada’s Victoria, British Columbia plays Latin America’s Maunabo, Puerto Rico in Semi-Final game 2. The winners advance to play in the championship game Saturday on ESPN2 at 1 p.m. Alaska Time.

Nunaka Valley made the semi’s even though they lost their last pool game on Thursday to Latin America 9-5. Nunaka Valley still had the second best record in their pool and play Kirkland the Pool A’s best record and the host city of the tournament.
