Crimson Bears lose to West Valley

JDHS football team gets last playoff seed

The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears fell to 3-3 as they were bested by the West Valley Wolfpack on Saturday in Fairbanks, 47-28.

The win guaranteed West Valley (3-3) a playoff position and the Wolfpack will travel to the Cook Inlet Conference number two seed next weekend. The Crimson Bears still backed their way into the playoffs and will travel to the CIC number one seed Service Cougars. Service has been unbeaten in Alaska the past two years. The West Valley win eliminated Colony (3-3) from the playoff scenario due to a tie-breaker system. Palmer is the Railbelt top seed and North Pole is second.
