This photo is roughly 15 years before the first state high school baseball tournament in 2000. The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears played their first season in 1991 and their first official high school game against Ketchikan in a five-game series at Melvin Park. Earlier baseball was basically played as preparation for American Legion Baseball and were feeder programs for the summer long club programs.
