The Thunder Mountain Falcons football team ended their season weeks ago with a loss in the Medium School State semifinals to Homer, but the results of a season filled with hard work by the entire roster helped a few on the roster become noticed around the league.
Seven Falcons were selected on Wednesday to the 2012 Alaska Schools Activities Association (ASAA) Medium Schools Southeast Conference All-Conference football team. Players were nominated and selected by the coaching staff’s from all participating conference football team members.
TMHS senior John Jolly was selected as a Running Back along with Ketchikan’s Connor Hicks.
Sophomore Austin Thomas was chosen as Offensive Lineman with Sitka’s Chatham Conner and Elliott Anderson.
Seniors Joe Ia and Chris Mack were the All-Conference selections at Wide Receiver.
Mack was also chosen as Defensive Back, along with Sitka’s Mitchell Boord, who was selected as the All-Conference Quarterback and on Special Teams.
Senior Josh Tupou also was selected for Special Teams and as Linebacker along with junior teammate Ben Jahn.
Senior Vili Tupou was All-Conference as Defensive Line along with Sitka’s Alex Cagle.
