Kelly, Ramos, O'Brien & Seagren capture Region V swim/dive crowns

Ketchikan women and Sitka men take team titles

Juneau-Douglas sophomore Ciera Kelly captured the Women’s 200-Yard Freestyle and 100-Yard Butterfly crowns in the Region V Swim and Dive Championships at Ketchikan on Saturday.


Crimson Bears’ teammate Talyn Ramos won the 100-Yard Free and Thunder Mountain’s Thane O’Brien won the Men’s 100-Yard Breaststroke.

Falcons’ teammate Matt Seagren brought home the first Region V title in diving to TMHS.

Ketchikan won the women’s team title with 176 points, JDHS finished second with 157.50, TMHS third with 72, Petersburg 54, Sitka 45, and Metlakatla 12.

Sitka took the men’s team title with 126 points, TMHS was second with 109, PHS third with 99, Ketchikan 90, JDHS 41, Craig 28, and Metlakatla 10.
