Crimson Bears open hoops tourney play at Kodiak today

The Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears’ boys and girls basketball teams will begin play today in the 46th Annual Joe Floyd/ERA Aviation Winter Classic Basketball Tournament at Kodiak. For the JDHS boys it is a rematch against the West Anchorage Eagles at 2 p.m., a team they lost to in the season openers at JDHS 66-29 and 60-43. Other opponents include North Pole on Friday and Kodiak on Saturday. The Crimson Bears’ girls open play against Kotzebue at 3:45 p.m. and will face North Pole and Kodiak on Friday and Saturday.
