Joe Tompkins skis a Down Hill Slalom during Wednesday's NORAM National Championships in Kimberly B.C., Canada. Tompkins finished second in his first run and third in the second for a third place medal. It was a U.S. and Alaskan sweep on the podium as Andrew Kurka took first and Greg Peck second. Tompkins races in two Giant Slalom runs today. A story will run after the series concludes. "It was so close," Tompkins said. "I made a few mistakes but made up time on each run. It was good."
