The Juneau-Douglas High School and Thunder Mountain High School track and field teams will be jointly hosting an informal day of fun and instruction on the first Monday of Spring Break.
According to JDHS coach Janette Gagnon and TMHS coach Scott May, “If your kids like to run, jump or throw things, then this is where they should be on the first Monday of Spring Break.”
The Crimson Bears and Falcons will be putting on a fun day of running, jumping and throwing at the Riverbend Gym as well as the Diamond Park Field House on Monday, March 18, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Interested attendees should meet at Riverbend Gym to register from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. A legal guardian needs to check in participants and sign waivers. The fun filled day of training and competitions is for grades 2nd thru the 8th. Younger participants may be eligible under certain circumstances.
The cost is $40. No pre-registration required, just show up around 8:00 on the 18th.
Participants should bring a bag lunch, wear shorts or sweats with good indoor shoes and outdoor boots (for the walk between Riverbend and the Fieldhouse). For more information, Contact Janette Gagnon (321-5321) or Scott May (790-4544)
The high school track and field season begins on March 4.
