Angoon pushes past Kake 92-82 and into B semifinal

Angoon continued to make a run for another title dream a reality with a 92-82 win over Kake on Tuesday night at the Gold Medal Tournament.


Kake, the surprise B bracket team of the tournament, trailed 44-30 at the half and battled back to within 10 points on back-to-back triples by Adam Dolan and Brandon Jackson.

Kake closed within six, 66-60 on a basket by Jackson but Curtis Lane and Jordan Jamestown keyed a 9-0 run to take command again.

Curtis Lane led Angoon with 25 points, Jordan and Ozelle Jamestown hit 15 apiece, Clayton Edwin 12, John Crossman 10, Bailey Johnson nine, Jazz king four and William Silva two.

Angoon hit 18-24 at the charity stripe, Kake was 4-6.

Adam Dolan and Brandon Jackson led Kake with 19 points apiece, Anthony Ross 17, Lance Doaki 12, Josh Jackson three, and Shea Jackson two.

Angoon will play Haines at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in undefeated team play while Kake faces Wrangell today at 3:30 p.m. in an elimination game.
