Thunder Mountain High School freshman Naomi Welling will be one of a selected group of Southeast track and field athletes to participate at the Brian Young Invitational in Kodiak, all expenses paid. The top two athletes from each event at the High School State Track & Field Championships were selected, regardless of divisions, to participate. The teams are divided into three regions (5/6, 2/3, and 4-all Anchorage). Welling and teammates Khalil English, Maddie Hall, Brendan Pietz, Jenna Luhrs, Sitka's Chatham Connor, Yakutat's Kasia Adams, and Ketchikan's Bernadette Franulovich, Shawna Nelson and Kelton Thompson will be on the Perimeter Team, Regions 5/6.
