Crimson Bears top Knights 33-24 at Colony

The Juneau-Douglas High School Crimson Bears returned to one of their old stomping grounds in the Railbelt Conference on Friday night, toppling the Colony Knights 33-24 at Colony. JDHS’ Demetrius Campos carried the pigskin 20 times for 151-yards and four touchdowns on the night. JDHS improves to 4-0 on the season.

The Soldotna Stars (4-0) toppled the Thunder Mountain Falcons (2-2) 62-6 on Friday night at TMHS Field, putting up 411-yards of offense to the Falcons’ 182. Colton Young scored five times for the Stars, rushing for three and passing for two scores to Drew Gibbs. Gibbs also had one rushing touchdown. Falcons’ senior Ben Jahn ran for 115-yards on 15 carries with one touchdown and caught one pass for 30-yards.
