Thunder Mountain High School sophomore Ben Garrett (520) and Juneau-Douglas freshman Jack White (452) race to the finish of last weekend’s Capital City Invitational high school cross country meet on Treadwell Mines Trails. JDHS freshman Nicholas Heidersdorf (437) and Mt. Edgecumbe senior Andy Karmun (476) sprint to the finish. The Falcons and Crimson Bears will send their top boys and girls runners to the Region V championships on Saturday. The Juneau Empire applauds the efforts of all the cross country team members as they pushed for their personal best times during the season.
