Crimson Bears win big on senior night

Southeast Conference leader Juneau-Douglas defeated cross-town rival Thunder Mountain 57-0 in the Glacier Bowl on Friday night at Adair Kennedy Field.


The Crimson Bears scored on their first four possessions in the opening quarter and were never threatened in the game. The JDHS defense kept the Falcons from crossing over the 50-yard line in the first half.

JDHS will get a bye in the first round of the medium school state football playoffs on Oct. 19 in Anchorage while TMHS’ season has ended.

The Crimson Bears honored their senior players and cheerleaders Friday night and festivities included halftime performances by the JDHS cheer squad and the JDHS dance team.

1:53- JDHS: (TD) punt blocked by George Sua, ran back by Hunter Hickok for a 37 yard Touchdown (Maake) kick 57-0

4th quarter-

No scoring.
