WOMEN’S CLASSIC BASKETBALL
Home, Women’s Classic Basketball League registration forms due Oct. 25. For more info contact Juneau Parks & Rec. at www.juneau.org/parkrec/adult/classic.php or call 586-5226. Classics is for women who enjoy the game, want to play for fun on an organized team but who are a “little older”, new to the game, or have less time due to kids, jobs or other commitments. Aggressive play is discouraged. Pre-season practices will begin in November, followed by games which will be played through Feb. 5. Teams play once a week (Wed.) for a total of 10 games. $50 per player covers costs of player/team fee and use of numbered jersey. Players register with JP&R and staff and volunteers put teams together. Registration forms available at JP&R office in room 218 of Municipal Building.

No-host bar provided. Tickets on sale Sept. 27 at Hearthside Books, Rainy Retreat Books and the JACC. $18 in advance, $20 at door ($15/$17 for children under 12). Season tickets available for $85 ($70 children). The league will be donating 5% of proceeds to a local non-profit.
