The Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School girls ‘A’ basketball team held off a late rally by Floyd Dryden on Tuesday at FDMS, winning 24-22 behind the 10 points of Caitlin Pusich. Alyxn Bohulano added four points for the Wolverines, Malia Miller, Naavah Spady, Charlee Lewis and Morgan Bolovich added two apiece and two points were unaccounted for. Addie Prussing, Johanna Allen, Noahni Davenport, Sally Thompson, Ashley Lee and Sidney Thomas all had time on the court.
The Eagle girls were led by six points apiece from Cassie Dzinich and Cyrene Uddipa. Kassidy Pietz added four, Kalianna Lewis, Erica Hurtte and Shaylin Cesar two each, and Emily Mossburg, Andee Johnson, Maxie Saceda-Hurt, Kendyl Carson and Abby Schmidt all had court time.
In boys ‘A’ action the Eagle broke open a close first half to win 41-25 over the Wolverines. Erik Kelly led FDMS with 11 points, Brayden Pollon had eight, Kasey Watts six, Christian Yadao five, Luke Clark and Josh McAndrews four each, Sebastian Bradley, Owen Mendoza, Erik Frenette one apiece and Joel Sleppy, Miguel Cordero, Jake Johnson, Michael Cesar, and Roy Topou rounded out the team.
The Wolverines were led by Kyle Carver’s six points, Donavan McCurly Philip Gonzales added five each, Corban Neville three, Kolby Hoover, Bryson Echiverri and Angelo Garcia two each, and Luke Mallinger, Brant Hultberg, Chance Adams, Koen Shultz, Ez Yadao, Matt Lessmeier, Sam Vogt and Trevor Perov filled the team.
