The one constant during Saturday’s Southeast Region V High School Cross Country running championships was the rain.

Runners from over 12 schools participated in four races along the Treadwell Mines Trail at Sandy Beach. Divided by

1A/2A/3A/4A school size and athlete gender, the runners faced muddy conditions at the start and finish and technical trail

running in the middle forest section.
