Fast Break camp dishes awards

Nearly 200 campers participated in two weeks of basketball at the Juneau Fast Break Basketball Camp in June. This year’s camp drew participants from all over Alaska and included a few players from as far away as Washington and Arizona.

“I am impressed with the excitement, intensity, and improvement in all the players that attended the Juneau Fast Break Basketball Camp. The coaching staff did an incredible job of delivering high-quality instruction on the fundamentals of basketball,” camp director Robert Casperson wrote in an email to the Empire.

The Juneau Fast Break Basketball Camp emphasizes the importance of making healthy life choices. Time was included during camp to discuss multiple topics like the importance of avoiding drugs and alcohol, working through life’s challenges and goal-setting.

The Juneau Fast Break Basketball Camp would like to thank their sponsors for helping put together a “tremendous success,” according to Casperson.
