ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers say a 33-year-old man has died in Ninilchik after his dirt bike collided head-on with a truck.
Troopers say Lewis Gerald of Ninilchik was riding the motorcycle north on Easy Street Friday night when the bike crossed onto the oncoming lane and struck a southbound pickup truck driven by 17-year-old Greydon Campbell of Ninilchik.
The Anchorage Daily News reported an emergency helicopter flew Gerald to an Anchorage hospital, where he later died.
Troopers say Gerald was wearing a helmet in the collision.
Troopers say Campbell was not injured.
