ANCHORAGE — A therapist working with children of Alaska military families has been sentenced in what federal prosecutors describe as a child pornography case netting the single largest collection of physical evidence in Anchorage.
Forty-eight-year-old Andrew William Young was sentenced Monday in federal court to 22 years in prison for producing and collecting child pornography.
The Anchorage Daily News says Young pleaded guilty in 2010 to receiving child pornography in Alaska, as well as taking photos of a nude 10-year-old boy while stationed at a Texas Air Force base.
Prosecutors say there was no indication under either of the charges that Young abused Alaska children. Young managed clinical services for children of active duty service members stationed at three military facilities.
