Alaska Airlines may soon be able to remove the ‘E’ from ETA.
An online on-time watchdog has ranked Alaska’s airline as among the world’s most prompt. This is the second time in two years Alaska Airlines won the on-time performance service awards in the category for major North American airlines.
Alaska ran on time 87.79 percent of the time in 2011, according to the Flight Stats service awards website. This put Alaska among other category winners such as Scandinavian Airlines (88.22 percent) and Japan Airlines (86.33 percent).

The world-wide service award recognizes airlines and airports that “deliver the highest percentage of flights to their arrival gates within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time,” according to Flight Status web site. Flights from Anchorage to Seattle on Alaska arrive on time 74 percent of the time. Trips from Seattle to Santa Ana or Phoenix to Seattle offer an on-time arrival rate of 96 percent.

It would be the right move for Alaska Air to offer better air fares to Juneauites especially in view of the airlines profit statement. Why are we so mellow about paying these sky high prices to get out of town?
ALASKA AIRLINES
AK Airlines kind has it made in AK don't u think. They have absolutely no competition in southeastern so they can pretty much make up their own rules. And why should they care if they are late or on time...where else are you going to go to fly north or south (out of AK)???
Alaska Airline Company are a
Alaska Airline Company are a bunch of Crooks...you can get a ticket from Atlanta to Anchorage for 130. bucks. But you have to give a arm and a leg from Seattle to Ketchikan. Crooks.
Adjusting "flight time"
Remember when it took less than two hours to fly from JNU to SEA? Have you noticed the scheduled flight time lately? It's now more like two and a half hours. With the newer, faster aircraft, why would it take MORE time to travel the same distance? Answer...it doesn't. But allowing more time in the schedule sure makes it look like they're on time more often. Sneaky, if you're not a moron.

You are incorrect. I became a travel agent back in 1987 - and the flight from Juneau to Seattle was 2 hrs and 40 minutes. It's now 2 hrs and 20 minutes - a decrease of 20 minutes. Be irritated at them all you want, but get your facts straight.

I just did a check of flights from Anchorage to Atlanta for the next 5 months - fares start around $1100.00 - considerably more than $130 - and just go up from there. Even on Kayak. On ALL carriers. Like I said to Townie12 - Be irritated at them all you want, but get your facts straight. It's not cool to spread false information.
P.S. Seattle to Atlanta is around $600.....
